Project Based Learning

Jennifer's 2nd grade class has eggs to hatch chickens and caterpillars to hatch monarch butterflies. Hatching should take place in the next 2 weeks. How Exciting!!

Happy Easter

He is Risen!

What a beautiful Easter Day at the Shaw residence. The kids woke to find Easter Baskets filled with goodies. We had M&M pancakes for breakfast. Then we went to church, grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, and had family and friends over. We planted a dogwood tree and had an egg hunt. It was a fun filled day.

Today we took a trip to the NC Zoo in Asheboro. We saw most of the animals even though we were quite chilly. Good Times in NC!

Earth Day activities at Sandy Ridge Elementary School. It was a beautiful day to be outside with the kids and help them plant flowers, bushes, and trees. Good job everyone!

The Tipsy Paintbrush

The girls (Michelle, Robin, Melissa, Barbara) and I went to the Tipsy Paintbrush last night. You paint a picture and drink wine while you paint. It was so much fun! We definitely have to do it again! Next time Grandma Melody is going too!
