SRES Field Day with Austin!

Another fun day in the sun! About 45 minutes into this wonderful start of a day, the weather turned. It started to rain, cold. :) This wasn't in the forecast. Kids all went in.

Earth Day: Day 17

Here is day 17. Jenni's salad kit looks to be moving along fast. The think leafy one is cucumber. Austin's pizza kit is coming along fine too. All pods are sprouting something. :)

I did move them to storage tubs, obviously. The tubs are Target $5 specials. It allows us to move/cover them in adverse weather. So far, it is working as we thought. We may have to move the tomato's again to a larger pot. We shall see.

When I'm happy you fly airplanes into my face, but when I leave for college I'm still gonna miss this place . And even though I call you fat I know you always got my back . Through the good times and the bad I'm thankful to have you Dad ."

Of which I promptly texted,

Drinks: Grateful Dead and Skinny Dude Margarita! Packed with pucker power!

Appetizer: 3 meatballs with cheese and bread crumbs. Unexpectedly good.

Dinner: Chicken and Cheese Hoagie. Man, that was a lot of hoagie.

Dessert: Cookie Sundae. Oh, this looked so good and was so rich!

Oh, wow how we are so full took a walk to enjoy the sunset and see the people. Fun night!

Austin's Helo Practice! Rockin!!!

We picked up this really cheap helo for $30 at target. It has an on-board computer that connects to his iTouch. I was really impressed with his skills. It has a controller mode which allows a joy stick like control. And a Gyro control which used his iTouch orientation to control direction. He successfully took of and landed three time with some more maneuvers each time. Wow!

Latta Plantation Time!

We took the family to Latta Plantation and Raptor Center. What a fin time. We saw farm chores of the 1800 period, Latta's house and farming area. Very cool!

Mom had a tough day today at work. I missed a lunch date too. So, we opted to have a bowling party

The kids are starting to see some growth. Jenni's Romaine Lettuce is sprouting and Austin's is starting to peek out.
