Media Center

Jennifer had media center (library) as her special today. These are the two books she checked out and brought home. Do you think she's trying to tell us something? :)

Hiddenite Gem Mines

We went to Hiddenite Gem Mines this past weekend. Mining in the creek was extremely cold but fun. And sluicing was extremely dirty. We all left wet and dirty and had the best time ever!

We found some fluorite, moonstone, quartz, citrine, aventurine, and mica.

First day of middle school

First Day In 2nd Grade

Today is the first day of 2nd grade. Jenni met all of her cul-de-sac friends at the bus stop. It's going to be a great day!

SRES Open House

This afternoon was Jennifer's open house at Sandy Ridge Elementary School. Her teacher, Mrs. Clemens was amazing. She hid treats in their cubbie, they picked books to read Monday morning, and she has a class frog - Alex! How cool is that!

Our homework is to decorate a composition notebook with pictures of things that Jenni enjoys doing, vacations, pets, etc. Fun!

It's going to be a great school year!

Middle School Open House

8:00 AM was open house at Marvin Ridge Middle School. It was crowded, but went way better than imagined. Purchasing PE uniforms only took 7 minutes!

Some of the drop ceilings in the classrooms were colored and it looked amazing.

Austin said he is most excited about Math, which is the first class of the day. Jenni said she would be most excited about drama - all the costumes, the stage, the lights - very cool!

So exciting!!

Asking for Blessings: any reward we receive is by His grace. Are we missing the plethora of blessings that surrounds us; christian friends, church, children, many things? Let's be thankful to the Father for them today.

Jenni got her hair trimmed up for school. Open house is tomorrow and the first day of school is Monday.

We went to Discovery Place today. The museum was a lot of fun. More pictures will be posted to shutterfly.

Jenni got a stuffed animal she named Butter. Austin got a switch pitch ball, which is very cool. Never seen anything like it.

We took Sophia with us to Chuck E Cheese today. We went to the pool too, but we didn't get any pool pics. We had a great time!

Advanced Hip Hop - class #1

Jenni loved her first advanced hip hop class with Mr. Blake. They already started learning part of their recital routine. We are so proud of her.
