Jenni's 4th Birthday!

We are to celebrate Jenni's 4th birthday at Monkey Joe's with her friends. Jenni opened many gifts this morning from family! Thank you to Aunt Joyce and Uncle David! More updates to follow!!!

Jenni's Birthday! Presents in the morning, play in the afternoon, and presents in the evening. We couldn’t make the New Years ball drop with all this partying going on so early! :) Thank you to all that attended, even those in spirit!!! We had a slamming time at Monkey Joe's.

Feet and arms flaying about carelessly up and down the inflatables. There was so much joy going on, the Lord was present. What a great time! With this memory, the Shaw’s ring in the New Year!!!

Chillin' with the kids!

We hooked up with the Cole family for a late breakfast and the Main Street Grill in Waxhaw. They drove us. What a great time. They left to get a few errands done. So, we decide to walk around downtown till mom picked us up. As we walked from store to store we ran into Karen, our neighbor. It was great to see her. She is such a fun person. We chatted for a bit on the corner and then parted ways. But, before we did, she mentioned the skate park to us. Cool. We'll give that a shot I said. So we doubled back and walked over to the skate park. I thought the kids could run up and down the rolling cement park while we waited. As we got closer we noticed an actual park with slides and swings tucked back in here. How. Awesome. So we're enjoying that right now!

We have plans for a late lunch with the Kilpatrick's. They plan to see Santa at the mall. They got there at 10:30 only to be given a pager for an approximate time of 2:30 top see Santa. Seriously?!? I'd go some were else. So they are doing a few errands and we might catch them for lunch. How cool! Now come on mom, get here and play!!!

Krissy is home!

Thank God to the pilots today for getting my wife home safe. I understand everyone clapped when they landed. Rough, rough weather and they had to circle in SC for about 30 min. Even then, the kids and I were late picking her up. However, we made it as she got her luggage and she was able to just walk out and see us. Usually we hang out in the baggage claim, but weather slowed us up too.

Jenni's Calvary Birthday

Today was the month December birthday celebration and it was fun. Yes, I spent most of the day at Calvary. What a great place to visit. So many wonderful, helpful people. Back to the story. The party was fun. They had balloons, cake, trail mix, and a gift bag for all. It was quick and sweet. Jenni was so excited to see me there. For a moment, I believe she didn't worry about Mom, just for a short moment. I love you Jenni.

Calvary Parade

Today was a great reason to wake up. Jenni was in a parade that showed us about Christmas. Our neighbor, Sabinske's, were there as well for their son Jack. There is something about toddlers that tell you the meaning of Christmas that makes me melt. How sweet, how innocent. As God would have done it. Wow. What a great start to an otherwise hectic morning. Thank you Calvary!

Lunch with Austin

Jenni and I are making a surprise visit to have lunch with Austin. He'll love it! Jenni is waiting so patiently because we are a few minutes early. (My wife has trained me well over the years). There are special tables for us to sit at, a 4 top table. Perfect! A few classes have stopped in, but no Austin yet.

Another parent has dropped in to see her child. Cool.

Jenni just spotted Kaitlyn!

Here he comes! He's so happy! Got to go!!!

Happy Anniversary Kristine!

A Celebration of Love

We knew the moment that we met that we were soulmates, and that we would be together forever. However, we dated for about three years before we finally decided to get married. We were engaged October 14, 2001, and we were married on December 15, 2001, at 3:00PM at St. Mary's Chapel. It was the most beautiful wedding ceremony ever. However, not all of our closest friends and family could make it to our wedding. Therefore, we have created a wedding photo album to share with everyone. We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we do.

Mom leaves

Tough week ahead. Mom has CPE in Orlando all week. I'm sure I can take care of the kids no problem. It's the long cold nights that'll keep me up. I even got practice today, starting my day at 2. Why? Toss and turn. Flip and flopping. I just need to get up and read, fix, and write. I've got a full day ahead mixed with mom's travel plans. I'll trudge through it. Time to pull on that Faith today! :)

Evening with the Dyre's!

Had a great night with the Dyre's. The kids haven't seen each other for some time and really latched on last night. What great fun! The chicken dumplings were great as was the chocolate cake dessert! Oh, did I forget to mention the chocolate martini's my wife has mastered?!? (Thx Tia) WOW, another great Shaw day! This type of family time can't get any better!!!

Singing Christmas Tree

Another great family surprise from my ultimate wife! We had front and center seats to the Singing Christmas Tree. We even meet David Tang, director. It was awesome. The tree was great, but the singers and dancers we equally as awesome! Even Santa showed up. After the performance, Santa stopped by to hug and chat with the kids. Thank you Kris for family culture! You’re an angel.

Sorry, no pic's. No photography allowed.

Kids school, Cleaned Remote

The morning started off early and fun like always. First, I'm lucky to wake up and see my wife everyday. It's mine to lose. Each and everyday, she is lovely, caring, and sophisticatedly sexy! Give me a few minutes . . . Ok, that was great!

The kids are almost all gone to school. Sariah left early as usual, but Austin went in 30 min early to catch a field trip bus. I believe he is headed to Old Salem. Seems like it should have been a Halloween event. :) Hope he has a great day. I thought I would catch up on some news while Jenni sleeps in. She heads to school at 8:30. Well, the remote has slowly be taking extra foot pounds to get certain numbers to register like 3 and 4. These number are important to me. It affects Fox News, CNN, CNBC, ESPN, Discovery, HGTV. Those are some channels I can't have issue with. :) So I took some rubbing alcohol, cotton ball, and some intelligence to clean the guts. All is good now and I can easy flip from one favorite channel to another. Long Live channel surfing!

Sariah's Recital

Sitting stage left waiting for Sariah's recital. We are hoping for a great show. I do hear the choir leader is a little over board. But all the students look well dressed. Let's see how it goes.

Ok, it is a day later and I've had a few to think more about it. The girls section of the co-ed class was an anemic program. The girls did great, but it was very light compared to the boys and the all girl choir. I was surprised by the uninspiring program. I expected so much more. The co-ed girls program was the shorts of them all by at least 30% and the girls were strangled from showing emotions. I even learned from the choir director herself that the co-ed choir class is not taught together, but split by sex. The 1.5 hour class is split; 45 minutes for the girls and 45 minutes for the boys. That means my daughter is wasting 45 minutes a day in this class. This is considered instructor lead? WTF?!? This school is the best school around and to see this make me question the leadership of that program, or perhaps their fine arts program overall. I’ve got an email into the Principal, Dean of Students, and the Choir director. I strongly feel the personnel in the athletic department would have done a far superior job.

Basketball!

Had a great night of basketball! MRMS Mavericks won again, 30-18. They’re undefeated!!! Then we picked up Nikki’s friends, Melissa – a really player on the court, and I dropped them of at the Bobcat/Celtics game. After the game we went to one of my favorite locations, Café Sienna. We had a bite to eat, laughed a lot, and played. What a fun night!
