Great Wolf Lodge - mini vacation

My wife has planned a great surprise getaway for the family, The Great Wolf Lodge. The kids are Magi's on an adventure to gather different Rune's. It is 4 floors, two hallways a piece. That's 8 main location, plus a niche of other spots that has kept the kids hoping for 3 days. What a great idea! On Saturday, Austin (Dragon Tooth) and Jenni (Sunshine) were on top of the list. Around and around, up and down stairs we have gone. I've resorted to sitting on one of the fabulous wood crafted chairs on the 3rd floor, watching the kids run about. There must be hundreds; young and old all looking for the quests and adventures, which are quite elaborate.

The meals are very good as well, they are mostly buffet style with some made to order items. We've had all our meals in the lodge. In fact, we have not stepped outside - save being out on our balcony just to see how cold it still was outside. :)

The water park is massive. This has to be the largest indoor water park I've seen, complete with a wave pool! There is a section for all age groups; toddlers, juvenile (has a large fort with several water spouts, water guns, water buckets to douse passersby, and slides), adult. Oh, and the slides are top notch. There is a four lane race slide and some large family style rafting tubes. They are large. One stop shop for all your fun!

Kris and Jenni had a spa day. There is one for kids with princess attire! Wow, this place just keeps coming with the goods! Oh, and there is a Cub Club for parents to drop their kids off while the adults do . . . do adult thing. For example, there is a full bar to start that something special night.

I just forgot, there is a huge arcade with games galore. Next door is the game consoles; xbox, playstatio, etc. Enough for all gaming appetites. And just a little farther down is a lesser known item, the workout room. With all the quest (clandestine workout itself) few folks are in the actual workout room. As a matter of fact, I only saw 4 folks when I was there.

However, I our trip turned sour when our camera was stolen. The value of the camera is pail in comparison to the memories we captured on it. We have reported it to the front desk and have asked a few of your local exchanges if they have seen it. Perhaps someones conscience may have forced them to dispose of the camera in a waste bin, etc. We leave today and we'd like to be reunited with those memories. The camera is a Cannon Powershot, teal in color. At the very least, if a SD memory card is found, or left behind - we would be very happy for that!

We shall see how today unfolds! Let the fun began!!!

God bless!
