Easter Time Again

Family Fun Night: Chick-fil-a (CFA). Nothing but grace!

Having family night at CFA. Good food, great company, fun play zone, tire kids. What more can you ask for?!?

Volunteer: SRES book fair! Wow, what a blast with all the kids. I have a following!

I'm doing great!  I had a blast at the fair and it was very busy.  All the kids come in before class starts.  I was surprised.  Plus, there is a lot of indecision to.  Buy this, walk around, return that to get something else.  I guess they figured they should jump on the first items before it sold out.  Funny.  I saw so many kids I know and some new ones.  Also meets some parents, moms.  I'm the only dad.  :)  I think I have a following!
 
Oh, one of the moms is Pampered Chef, Julian (I think).  She makes house calls.  How cool.  I gave her my business card in hopes to get a website so I can see what it is all about. 

SRES Book Fair: what can you imagine?!?

We are having fun at the school book fare. Jenni has already picked out her books and is now playing. Austin is still looking around. Even Sariah is looking. Fun, fun, fun!

Scouts Beautification Project

The scouts did some work today to beautify the school that hosts them. Work items:

1. Stain benches
2. Spread mulch
3. Dig some ditches
4. Various other duties. :)

Doing some tornado science lab with kindergartens!

We put water, half way in a water bottle, added a little dish soap, and then some glitter. Swirl. Puff! A mini tornado pops up. All the kids were great. Cool!

Austin had a really simple theme with pool blue and gloss black. Whew! Just another coat of blue and then it is time for wheels!

Jenni spent a few minutes with me at Lowes and was very good and happy!

It's that time of year again. Don't forget the risen!

St. Patty's Day Fun @ Austin's school!

We are having fun with Austin @ school! I've got my green on!

We got an Irish dance performance. Very fun.

We are learning about their pen pals in Ireland too. Each students says a little about their pal and how their schools are.

And look @ Austin's teeth? Red hair and green teeth; it's in the kids blood!

Austin even wrote a page about how important family is to him. I thought he wrote well, coming along in tying feels with words. But as I watch a few students secretly cry because their parent(s) didn't show up is bring Austin's piece to heart. I feel for these few that are having a difficult time. I pray for understanding.

Update: a few minutes after I talked about a few kids missing their parent(s), the parents showed up. Glory to God. What a winner day!!!

Artistic Time: painting fun!

After some hard work on the pinewood derby car, we are furthering our exercising of the right side of our brains. Boy does my head hurt - I'm so left brained! Glad our bike ride needs the left brain! Oh, yes Austin and I are getting around by motorcycle. He is so happy, and so am I!

Pinewood Derby: Cut day. Oh boy! We are working now!!!

Austin is getting into it today! I'm so happy for him. He is having a great time. We are keeping it simple.

TGIF - Sports Connections playtime and Wings/Rings

We took a few hours out of the rainy day to visit our fun place away from home, Sports Connections. The kids are so tuckered out from all the running around. I'm so excited to feed them then bed. Oh wait! It's only lunch. ;)

BWR is awesome. Love this place. So much to eat!

What a fun time w/ the class all the kids are cool! I saw Harris, Xavier, Tori, Logan, Franky, Jackie.

Guess what time it is: Pinewood Derby time!!!

Seemingly small size, but great Word to share

Jenni and Austin ran in and showed me the seed they found. They were excited. I was too! This was an opportunity for me to discuss why this seed exist and who made it.

We talked about why it has hooks on it; for animals to carry it off to another location to grow - much like bees pollenating I explained. But who made this seed just like this to be hooked on the hairs of animals? Hmmm. Jenni points up and says God!

God is great and I pray thanks everyday!

Time to lower the ears so we can hear His Word!

Austin and I have had an early morning. We rushed over to be the first ones in line for an oil change @ 7:30. We picked up Sariah and ran over there to be 4th in line. So we eat breakfast and ran home. Now we are getting our ears lower to hear the good Word, God's breathe!

Taking ALL the kids to school on this raining day. Rock on the weekend is here!
