Imaginon And The Pumpkin Patch

Saturday morning Austin had his theater class. I remembered that Imaginon was celebrating its first birthday, so we showed up early. There were all kinds of events going on for kids. Austin made some mouse ears, a Mad Hatters Hat, a book, a pinata, and all kinds of art work. There were all kinds of characters there, like The Velveteen Rabbit and Angelina Ballerina Mouse. Curious George was the biggest hit.

There was a juggler, musicians, and food outside as well. We all shared a funnel cake, yum! Austin did a cupcake ring toss, made a chalk drawing on the street, and had a caricature drawn. He tried playing the violin, and got a free book, "Friends of a Feather". Everything except the food was free. We had a fabulous time.

Saturday evening we went to the Hodges Pumpkin Patch with the D'Amico family. The kids had a great time pulling the wagons and picking out the pumpkins they wanted to bring home. Austin quickly picked up five pumpkins and put them in our wagon, but we limited him to three, so he put two back. There were rabbits, goats, and a horse on the farm. There was even a little hay maze for the kids. Austin, Abby, and Caleb had a lot of fun running through the maze. Before we left the pumpkin patch, the kids were allowed to pick a tiny pumpkin out of a basket for free. The all proudly stood for a picture with the tiny pumpkin of their choice.
